More about Boulebaar

Sunday is brunch day.

Last Sunday I was invited to discover Hasselt’s newest hotspot Boulebaar. The owners, Pieterjan and Joni, just got back from a mayor trip through Australia where they learned more about the ‘Aussie way of life’. Once back in Belgium, they decided to incorporate all the things they had learned back there into a cool new concept: Boulebaar. At Boulebaar, everything revolves around foodsharing. For example, their idea of a brunch is not to have you chose between a few traditional brunch menus (we all know what I mean: bread, croissants, eggs, bacon, etc..). No. They came up with the idea to have a special kind of brunch buffet, which you can visit as many times as you want. And on the buffet menu? No traditional things like the ones I’ve just summed up.. You can chose between some typical Australian brunch dishes, avocado toasts and little lemon pies (my favorite, I think I ate 3 of them 😳). AND everything is homemade! It was definitely a Sunday well spent.
