‘La dolce vita’ at its best.
Frederik and I just got back from a family trip to Italy, and it was amazeballs! We extended our stay to have some quality time (and enjoy the sun a little longer..). We stayed at the wonderful Palazzo Caracciolo MGallery by Sofitel, located right in the historical city centre of Napels. To be honest, I’m not that much of a ‘Napoli’ fan. The city itself is loud, super big, and -to be really honest- a little dirty.. The Palazzo Caracciolo offers the perfect ‘getaway’ from all that. A little heaven in a sea of Italian madness. Our junior suite was super spacious (hello 2 bathrooms!), and the breakfast was delicious. I’d even go back to Naples only to stay at this hotel..
Andddd Naples happens to be the perfect base to explore everything the Amalfi coast has to offer. We visited Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and last but not least: Capri (my personal favorite). I’ve never quite got the fact of buying a house abroad. I’ve you ask me, I’d just visit a new city instead of always going to the same old one. Well, I’d instantly changed my mind when I first visited Capri. I can see myself sitting there when I’m 70 years old, on my seaview terrace, with a Caipirinha in one hand and Frederik’s hand in the other one, and be really truly happy and at ease. It’s picture perfect.
