The hidden gem of the Provence.
Many things in life will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart. To be honest, I lost both my eye ànd heart to Maison Valvert. About a month ago Frederik and I were in France for the wedding of two of our best friends. We decided to extend our stay to go and see (for our first time ever) the lavender fields in the Provence. That’s how we stumbled upon Maison Valvert. Located just in the little town of Bonnieux, it’s safe to say that this cosy B&B is a great base to explore the area. We stayed at the treehouse ‘La Cabane de Valvert’, which was a super special experience. An oasis of tranquility and relaxation in the middle of the Luberon. Both Frederik and I had never been so very much at peace as we were back there. Everything about Maison Valvert is just so very unique. From the treehouse roomservice (as you can see on the pictures), to the wonderful breakfast with local products. Every single detail had been well-thought-out. During our entire stay, we felt very welcome thanks to the lovely (Belgian!) hosts – Cathy and Pierre. I want to take the opportunity to congratulate them with all they’ve accomplished. Cathy really is a woman to look up to. She had a vision of Maison Valvert and simply made her dream come true. The biggest thank you ever for making our stay this unforgettable.
