My tips and tricks for a trip to Disneyland Paris.

As you all may know by now, I went on a family trip to Disneyland Paris a few weeks ago. My grandparents decided to take all their grandchildren (and +1’s) for a 2 night stay. You can imagine how excited we all were. We simply had the time of our lives. I can’t even express how proud I am of my grandparents. They kept pace with all of us. Even when we went in Big Thunder Mountain, they came along. I definitely wish that I’ll be able to do the exact same thing when I’m 80 years old!

My tips and tricks would be:

-Have dinner at Walt’s. You can find this restaurant somewhere in the middle of Main Street. We had dinner there on our first evening, and it was a complete succes. Cosy, not too loud and great food. But don’t forget to make a reservation. We made our a few weeks before our trip, and we were glad with did that, since Walt’s is fully booked almost every day.

-Make sure you see the Disney Dreams! show. This nighttime spectacular is the thing that has surprised me the most during the whole trip. It was the first time I saw it, and I was stunned. The projection mapping on the castle, the fireworks, the music, the water fountains,.. It was super impressive.

-Stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Although you’ll pay more than at any other hotel in Disneyland, I’ll assure you it’s definitely worth every penny. The hotel itself, the breakfast, the location,.. Oh and on top of the regular fast passes you get when staying at a hotel in Disneyland, you’ll also get an extra VIP fast pass, which allows you to immediately go on a attraction without cueing.

-Get up at 8 AM and take a walk through Main Street. You’ll notice how empty Main Street seems at this time of the day. This because the Disneyland Park is only opened from 8 ’till 10 for hotel guests. Always wanted to take a picture before the Disney Castle, but every time you tried to do it some people got in the way? Well, getting up early is the trick to avoid overcrowded situations.

-Definitely use your fast pass for the Ratatouille attraction. It’s the newest attraction in (Disney)town and also the most crowded one. Waiting times can add up to about 90 minutes, and fast passes get sold out very early. So make sure to go and get your fast pass at the beginning of the day, or use your VIP fast pass if you stay at the Disneyland Hotel.
