A final post about the beautiful city of Courchevel. Ready to discover everything about it?! Here it goes:
First of all: Courchevel is the place to go for a ski holiday. It doesn’t matter if you’re a snowboarder or a skier, because there is just so much variety in the ski pistes. But I must be honest, there are a little bit too much green ones if you ask me ;).
And Courchevel isn’t only a ski walhalla, it will also conquer the heart of every single fashionista who visits it. This little city offers everything that is haute cauture: Chanel, Prada, Dior, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Valentino.. The nice thing about a ski trip, is that you can go straight from the pistes into the city. You only need to get out of thoses ski/snowboard boots and into some regular ones. For me, these comfy Chanel boots did the trick (and they are just so cool, right? 😉 ).
The lunch restaurants on the pistes were amazing. I especially fell in love with ‘Bel Air’. They have the most amazing terrace ever. Talking about a view right? We also went a few times to ‘Pilatus’. It’s super cosy inside and you have an amazing view on the local airport. Fun fact (thanks to my cousin who’s a pilot): the Courchevel airport is known to be super difficult to land on, since the airstrip is so short!
We always had lunch on the slopes and diner at our hotel. But if you’re looking for a little gastronomy, I recommend going to hotel ‘Le Lana’. You can find the well-known two star restaurant ‘La Table du Lana’ there. You can also go to the hotel ‘La Chabichou’ which also hosts a two star restaurant.
We stayed at the hotel ‘New Solarium’ which is super close to the city centre. The hotel itself isn’t super luxurious and the food wasn’t great, but they have an amazing spa and the hotel is located right beside the ski pistes. We relaxed, sipped a little champagne and just enjoyed each others company. And according to me, that’s what a holiday is all about!
If you prefer a luxurious 5* hotel, I would go for hotel ‘Le Lana’. Every time we passed by, I was amazed by its grandeur and beauty.
I hope you liked this travel post you guys!
